Computones Questions

I bought volume 3 of Computones the other day and well...

1. How do I scale the tones? I can do it if its in Grayscale tones but for 300 to 600 dpi, I can't...I know that 600 dpi is bigger than 300 but still I want to scale myself...

2. I'm thinking of buying volume 1 as people say there are etching techniques, but how well does that work?
I have yet been able to see a result of this brush on the net...
One person have already noted that the etching...

What's ur opion on Mark crilley's youtube manga vids

Hey guys been awhile hasn't it? T_T my scanners broken and i havent gotten around to replaceing my batteries in my camera ... anyway! I've been learning japanese and so far so good but i was wondering about the iteams in the Mu. store... is The english-japanese dictinary any good? umm oh and the kanji de manga use full as well? easy to understand ext.? i dont have alot of brain power T_T.... .. and by far any one used the Buddha board? is it any good? ... so many questions but they...

Does anyone know of any good japanese learning books?!? So far, I know about 50% of katakana, like, .005% hiragana, and zippo% kanji! I NEED TO LEARN THEM ALLLLL! any sugestions? :-/

Tachikawa School G-Pens

I got the tachikawa pen recently but i couldn't figure out how to use them. i'm sorta figuring out that if i press the ink cartridge (the "steel ball" side), the ball moves inward. so i'm guessing that's where the ink comes out.

so a few questions.

1. is my assumption correct?
2. what does the product description "depending on the pressure" mean?
3. do i just leave the ink cartridge on there? if i do that, will the ink just...

Kanji de manga

alright, im new to forums. however, i need to know something about the kanji de manga book box set. i know that there is a total of 5 books to the set, but when you look at the pic of the box set you see only three books. i was just wondering if the other two books of the set came with it, or do you have to by the the 4th and 5th volumes?

any information would be appriciated. :P

Is this book out of print now? It was only released in February, but it dowsn't seem to be anywhere, even though it's only been out a few months.

Matching Eyes

I'm ill and at home so have taken the opportunity to start doodling.

I can draw an eye, actually I can draw more than one (which is quite useful). I've done a few of different looks, styles etc and am happy with the results so far but....

I can do either the left or the right... I can put them in the right place on the head so they are the right height and distance apart but I can't get them to look the same.

Has anyone got any tips that will help...

I bought two of the how to draw manga screentones books, but they won't work. I have Photoshop Elements 2.0 and I followed every step in the manual given in the book.

When the book states that you should open a new document and then press 'filter' to find the computones. I have also checked the folder for plug-ins, inside there is a folder called computones, so I see no reason for it not to be working! i have not been asked for the code, either.

Hello im new here and i just wanted to ask, what book would be good for drawing female characters. Im not that bad at drawing guys, but i am a complete beginner when it comes to anything female. I have looked at the books on amazon but im not sure what book would be good for someone with no talent at drawing girls. So a book or two on the basics would be nice, thanks.
