Copyright when you use tones...

Hey guys, I`ve been wondering about this for a while...

Most tones are usually just simple patterns like dots, etc., but some have some kind of picture on them, like there are tones with clouds or mountains, etc. Obviously that`s someone else`s work... does anyone know what copyright license there is on them? I feel kind of uncomfortable drawing a scene and then pasting a tone with a pattern made by someone else

currently, i run a very small webcomic called gentle heaven on deviant art and have recently been feeling the need to find a writer for this comic because i really cant do the 1 day of mindless plotting then see the comic look redicusy bad

so?

would any one be intrested in becoming the writer of eather the exsisting comic or would you rather "start on a clean slate" so to speck

i will warn ppl tho, i will need email adresses and tthe like to make this...

Looking for suggestings mixing manga with blogging

I am looking for suggestions as to a good way to mix manga art that I draw and scan to the internet with an interesting blog relating interchangably with each other and to the world.. I want to mix these two arts and create an interesting blog.. Any theming that you've noticed in blogs that could somehow be the cause of birth for a manga concept scene? Nothing too literal and staying away from comics. Any ideas?

i don't know if what i'm doing is right but i don't want my thread and some others having a lot of spam.

err.. in the gallery a user named cococolee spams alot and all his links points to"http://www.gobuyvogue.com"(i suggest you don't visit it sounds malicious). Just wonderin if its a bot or its a personal account?

with Geocities closing down on 10/26, i decided to jump ship. found a site that hosts a flash based editor and signed up. it is still in progress and i've also got a better front page sketch that i need to scan.

I got this idea today, it will be needing some refining but, I thought it was such an interesting concept in itself that I had to share it with a friend. He shared my enthusiasm and thus we wanted to see if other people would share this interest!

You know... I am of course still learning... But my art would look a lot better with hands! ( i know i know ill post some soon :P) But still its like... I can draw a pretty good looking fist. But not a strait out flat hand. How did all you awesome people learn to draw them? Any specific ways?

Ive got a tablet for 3 months i think and i wanted to know if when drawing anime, you use the pen pressure. One thing i notice is that most anime/manga doest seem to do this and sometimes i want to do a clean draw but theres lines thicker them others. The pen pressure can be good to fill some details, but when it comes to characters its hard to keep them clean.(like the eyes, face, hair etc.)

I'm serious, i never draw below the middle of the thigh because my people always look like they are going to fall over. It is incredibly frustrating, does anyone have any tips? or a good tutorial?
