HEEEELLLLLLLOOOOOOO!

Okay, so it has been FOREVER since I was even on HTDM! I have had so much stuff going on, that I haven't even been drawing. I have gotten some done at speratic times, but I knew I wouldn't have an update for a thread, so I've kept them until now! (I think I have had too much soda today....I'm hy-per

)

FIRST DRAWING: read, read, read
It is part reference (I was searching DeviantArt looking for inspiration (it is not a good idea to put in random words, looking for something to draw!)) Inked with multiliners and colored with COLOR PENCIL! Anyways..I really love this drawing

SECOND DRAWING: H to the P
Attack my Harry Potter chibi, ATTACK!

Oh, sorry, you weren't suppose to read that lol I love Harry Potter (the story...I'm not one of those weird fans lol). I despise the movies though...just not good. Anyways..I sort of put different components of other drawings together, along with my own imagination, to create this....I'm not too good at drawing chibis....inked in multiliners and colored with the last of my copic marker ink!!

THIRD DRAWING: "if you're gonna play in Texas, you better have a fiddle in your band. Them steal guitars..." I know, I'm losing most of you with the song lol

My town holds the national old time fiddle contest and I just went to it, so I had to draw this. Just finished it today...will color later...inked in mulitliners....I think I REALLY screwed up the face

Anyways....thanks for looking...and C&C would be MUCH appreciated

Those are really good! I like your style. Also, I love the scholar and Harry Potter pictures. I'm a huge fan of the books too, though I find the movies okay, except for the fifth. I hate the fifth movie with a passion, probably because the fifth is my favorite book and I am a crazy fan who nitpicks EVERYTHING.
Anyways, besides gushing over how awesome they are, I think that Harry's collarbone and mouth look weird and that the scholar needs a bottom lip...unless her mouth is open? I can't tell.
I love the eyes in the third picture, though the bangs look a little weird.
Anyways, good job, and I can't wait to see more =)

The "collarbone" of Harry is actually suppose to be the space between the collarbones that goes down...don't know what it's called....but thanks anyways...I probably need to fix it a bit to make it look right =) And with the mouth, I'm going for a "less is more" style, and using the style many anime have...but again, thanks!
For the scholar....I was sort of doing the same "less is more" style....I didn't draw in the bottom lip, but I made the protrusion, or whatever, in the profile, to show the lip. I always have trouble with bottom lips! But thanks, I should probably work on that!!
And yeah, I'm not the greatest with hair....I was trying to make it look like the wind was blowing it, while having the bandanna 'scrunch' it up at the same time....didn't turn out lol

Nice artwork! It's good to see that you're drawing more.
I like all your pictures a lot, especially the one you did of a girl reading; the coloring is simply beautiful, and it has a more "realistic-looking" style to it.
I think the last drawing would look really nice colored or shaded. :)

Waiting to see more!

I have loads of ideas; they're just hiding from me.

I love the style I did with the reading girl...I wish I could recreate it! lol
I got the last drawing colored...don't really like it...but I'll show it as soon as I get a chance to scan!!

In the mean time...here's a new drawing! Since a few days ago was America's Independence Day, I drew a bookmark to celebrate it! I have a more detailed discription in the deviantart submission...I'm in a rush at the moment....

heya buddy, i havnt been on in a while but i thought id jump on see what people are up to.

nice job drawing what you have, hope you dont mind me critting

first one i really like the style, lines are neat, and pencil colouring adds a certain feeling to it that makes it really look nice. tho i want to point out the jaw line, either your ear is too far back, or your face has been drawn on the wrong angle, and as sutch the jaw line has been stretched out of proportion, so the head looks oddly shaped.

it looks as though youve drawn the head shape on one angle and the face on another from two separate references. also her right hand is slightly oddly shaped, but i know alot of people have problems drawing hands just right, im no exception, but good work for atleast trying.

harry potter looks cool, nice chibi.

third picture the face looks great, the body looks great, but the violin looks out of proportion, and again the hand doesn't look quite right, some of the fingers look rather odd..

fourth picture looks really nice, the eyes tho look too far apart. thats all i can really say there.

I think I drew the ear too far back (ears are evil!). I see what you are talking about with the shape, thanks for pointing it out! I'll have to work on ear placement, I always have trouble with that ^^

I was thinking the porportion of the violin was off...but I wasn't sure. And yeah, the hand is awful! I really had no idea what the hand should look like, so I had to partially use a reference that wasn't that well drawn in the first place (though the finger placement was right...). Hands are a killer!

I hadn't even noticed the eyes were too far apart until you mentioned it! I'll have to watch that!!!

It's confusing to critique if you ask me. What is needed is a goal. If we see your goal, and compare it to what you can do now, then we can critique. But seeing that this style of drawing may be suitable to you, I have no right to critique xD.

What I mean to say is, If I were to draw your drawings, they would look completely different cause I draw differently. So honestly I wouldn't be able to draw what you just drew, cause I would draw it differently 8D (anyways...)

But if I drew those pictures and had to critique myself I'd say...

Picture #1: Gah, I tried to draw it, but it was actually pretty hard for me.
I'm just going to start listing the errors though, so bear with me >.>
1. Ear is too far from eyes. The distance from the eye to the ear should be about half of what it is right now.
2. The hands are okay (could use more definition) But her fingernails are placed wrong according to the position of her hand.
3. The hand to the right of the picture seems questionable. Which finger is under the book? If it's the pinky, then the placement of the nail is wrong.

Otherwise I'm quite impressed by your dimension! Keep at it! Currently I'm trying to draw your picture to show you... But I'll comment on the other pics later, gtg cyas!

The bookmark is incredible...I love the dress! The only thing that looks at all wrong is that her chest looks kind of weird, unless that's a certain style you're doing? EDIT: I must add something since I looked at your profile; one, I love Ancient Egypt too =D Two, I must disagree with you: I have the coolest cat in the world, who is also evil and tries to take over the world. Muhaha.

Sorry for the late reply/update, but I didn't have a chance to get on here.......

Sheketo: Um, I'm not really sure what you are getting at, but thanks anyways ^_^ Basically, with critiquing, just say your opinions and like if something is off (not really with how you would draw it, but with standard porportions or whatever).
1) Yeah, I really messed up on the ear...I always have trouble with its placement =(
2) I think the fingernails are only slightly off....I put them too on top, where they should be slightly lower....I held a book like that after you mentioned it....I hadnt' even thought about the nail placement before that lol
3) Her left hand is questionable to me too, and I'm not even sure what finger is under the book! I think it's suppose to be the pinky?

I think I tried to show she was wearing a corset so I made it kind of weird...plus I didn't have enough room to draw out the entire torso, so I think I messed up on my guides a bit.... And yay, another ancient Egyptain fan lol But I must disagree with you: My cat is cooler....and is the gimp legged, cross eyed, declawed, ruler of the world =)

he he, nice attempt on the pinup :P couple of tips

the foot is extremely short, so is her left arm (our right) and the upper right arm is also on the short side

im not sure about this it may just be the proportions of the other limbs, but the head looks a little on the large/wide side

tho i have to give it to you you have done a decent job, i just beleive you really have to try working on your proportions.

Thanks fitzy!! I can't believe I didn't notice the foot and arm -_- I think I'm so worried about making the pose "right" I forget about little details (which aren't little at all) like porportion. I really need to work on that!! Thank you ^_^
