MU Sophomore Posts: 87 02/25/09 04:15:17	Hey just dropping in, you got some nice stuff here--you should really try working on coloring, it is actually pretty easy with a mouse if you get good @ it 0.0 one of my favorite 'colorers/shoppers' (they didn't actually use photoshop, but same difference) used to use a mouse to color (now has a tablet, but the mouse ones were good too!) I find that coloring in photoshop is more of a 'knowing what to do' thing, not so much coordination. In any event, black and white is nice too if you have good shading (and you do, so you're hooked up) Anyways nice work, hope 2 see more. (btw what do you use to draw/ink with? Even I can't think anything to improve in these Well, if I reall try there might be something.. The second schoold uniform girl with a sad face and elven ear.. Somehow the ear seems to be a little bit too close to her eye. (or not ) And deathnote doesn't seem to have any pages, only cover (or they just are behind the cover or there could be only 10 pages so they would be too thin to see behind the cover.) But hey, it's good that you posted some older pics too, 'cause I can see that you have really improved. Even thou the older ones are very good also. And the new one is very good, sad, but good. The atmosphere is sad, and she looks depressed and powerless.. Again, she is almost alive.

Second, I'd like to see some works with more than one level of shading, if possible. (besides the colored one, of course) Contrast is an invaluable tool. Lastly, if you're going to post up nudity, make sure to put a warning on the thread title...and of course make it tasteful. But yes, good stuff. I'm back. Get used to it. You are special. Do I still has powers? My DevArt! Check it!

You didnt like it? . I usually use only 1 level of shading cuz my drawing is anime style and it s pretty rough to blend with the lighter shadow with just a mouse. It would be cake if I could use the tablet pen with pressure sensitivity . I'll do more complicated shading in the future, so just stay still :d Btw, is it really neccessary to put a warning on my topic? "15+" maybe ?

I didn't mean to imply that I didn't like it, I was just wondering why the sudden change in style is all. Yeah, it would be easier with a tablet, I'll give you that. Forgive me, I forgot you used primarily a mouse. I know I sure wouldn't be able to go back to a mouse and make my stuff look decent. Oh yes my friend, if you plan on posting up any partial or full nudity, regardless of taste or artistic merit, the thread needs to be titled accordingly with a warning. We have youngins here (that and it's community rules, as well as the fact that Yuku probably wouldn't let us post up anything close to nudity, no matter how artistic. ) Hmm, sorry, didn't mean to sound impatient or demanding. You don't have to show me jack squat, but I'm always interested to see the full spectrum of talent. Gives me a better picture of your skill as a whole. Mmyeh. But again, no harm meant. You've got a really good style going and as is evident from your clean linestyle and penwork , lots of confidence. Look forward to seeing more in the future. You are special.

But you should at least tell us which ones are fully original, and which ones are copied (not trace of course ^_^, i mean copy by looking and drawing). Correctly me if Im wrong (and I humbly apologize if I am), but i swear ive seen most of those exact poses and angles done in the actual mangas, such as Air Gear, death note, umm that manga with that fox (forgot name). I mean, dont get me wrong, I do it too since its a great way to improve drawing skills, and afterwards, you know exactly how to draw it again, but Id like to see what your capable of by yourself. And if by chance, most of those drawings are your originals, then I applaud you because for the most part, each drawing was done wonderfully.

I did use reference in those mangas you mentioned, mostly for the fan art , you can recognize Simca from Air gear I drew here. As for the fox, I did that myself, no ref.The other rest were mostly done with no ref but I did copy some trivial detals from Oh great!-my favourite mangaka like eyes, clothing pattern or shading. Some other ref from random anime images were also used, I often dont copy them but learn the style then alter to create my own. Thanks for comment anyway ^^
