I guess the best way to describe for a basic method, is using triangles,
Whatever part is closer to the camera becomes the base of the triangle, where the furthest becomes the apex. you generally within the confines of the triangle, with what is in the base being larger, the apex area being smaller. of course you need to change the angles which the body is viewed. I dont have a good explaination of this, but using simplified 3d shapes for each of the body sections may help, as you work with the triangle to keep the perspective in line. I hope this makes some sort of sense. The MU booth wasnt selling HTDM books.
