Hey I'm new to, I live in the US right now but plan to move to Japan here in the next couple of years to be a part time English Teacher and Car Sales Man (not the dreams I guess everyone had in mind I guess). I know that I am not moving there for the anime/manga but more for the culture, I just know that it would help to know more about it. I want to be able to draw Manga (or manga style, whichever term is correct) but there is one major problem, as of now...I can't draw at all...which is quite sad. I can paint, sculpt, and write, and all sorts of other artistic things. I can even take someone's rough sketch and turn it into something amazing with color and shading, I just can't start from scratch. So today I made the decision to buy the Home Study Course, I just hope it can help someone like me who is completely lost when it comes to drawing. I want to learn it for my students and for myself. I am an avid writer who has had a couple opportunities to publish but I just knew that there was something missing, Manga is the perfect way to convey what I have been wanting to do, I also don't want to have to bring an artist on staff who could constrew my ideas and change the story. I can imagine everything in my head line by line (just like I would a painting) but when it comes to them looking like a character something just isn't right. I really hope the Home Study Course is the right step for me. I look forward to hearing from some of the more "Seasoned Artists" here for some more than useful advice in the upcoming days.
